I was here in the spring (May) when everything was in bloom. We just stopped for a quick visit, we didn't stay. The gardens were breathtaking. There were many brilliantly colored plants in bloom. It is an interesting forest to visit compared to American forests....More

Tollymore is a brilliant forrest park with wonderful walks and beautiful scenery. For £20 a night, the basic facilities on offer for touring caravans are acceptable. Not acceptable though are the significant numbers of 'travellers' occupying sites. During the day the children are foul mouthed...More

It was a big park forest. The best part for me was walking along the river and see the beauty of it and thinking about ancient times. There were several bridges along the way from around the 1700 hundred. We met some old people that we...More

Came here yesterday and did the red arrowed heritage trail. This was pretty awesome and you passed by many crumbling and collapsed bridges as you walked along the river and an old hermitage was looked like a little fairy house. The trail soon goes sharply...More

Lovely forest park with well signposted walks. £5 entry for a car which is good value. Ample parking. Play area, picnic tables and good toilet facilities. Chip van and ice cream van provide food and drinks (shame there is no cafe).
