Five of us are here and all were happy with the quality and quantity of the different meals. Roughly our bill was £115 for five meals (three haddock and chips, one curry and rice and a chicken meal) also three glasses of wine and one vodka- mixer so I think it was a bit overpriced. Also we were there on... More

This establishment is in a lovely setting, we had great window seat. Delicious food and very friendly staff. This would be 5 stars except I had to query the bill as if you order Clonmel they don't have a button for it on the till so it's appears as every other beer possible. Small point but annoying, made better by... More

Had dinner here tonight with my husband and son - Pizza for my son was soda bread with cheese/sauce... I had the prawn cocktail and whilst it was lovely, it was overpriced. Chips were not very well cooked and the chicken curry was bland with no actual curry taste! Husband had gammon which was ok, but again over priced for... More

We decided to eat out one of the evenings between Christmas and New Year. We chose the Percy French for a comforting setting and easy menu. We were seated by the hostess Sinead, near the fire place. She really looked after us very well and without hesitation updated us on our menu options for that evening. She went out of... More

Great location, as you walk to the door you expect to be delighted, but once inside it disappoints. Staff are friendly but otherwise it is characterless and bland. Shame as, with a bit of attention, this could (and should) be so much better.

Went here for dinner, steak was ordered well done. Came out charred to pieces. Service slow. This place has so much potential. However with bad chefs and a rude manager this place will continue to go down hill. I won't be back. Manager needs to get a grip and stop writing silly replies

The Percy French Restaurant is perfectly located at the entrance to the Slieve Donard Hotel. Great views, a friendly ambience, good service and pleasant food. A visit is strongly recommended.

We called in for a birthday meal for one of the party. Four of us including a child of 6. We said we would go for the meal deal - 2 courses for £18. We were given menus and sat outside. The first waitress gave us the wrong menu - we had to adjust our order. Waited 15 minutes for... More

What a disappointment - called in for a drink and a cup of tea. Drink fine but asking for a biscuit with the cup of tea? Impossible. A dessert was offered but a biscuit was not possible. Such a disappointment for an eating and drinking place attached to a four star hotel. Service was slow but the decor and surroundings... More

The food is modern Irish. Fish and chips were quite good, and very fresh. The restaurant has great views, and is adjoining the historic Slieve Donard resort.
