This used to be the main commercial street of the city and still has a lovely historical feeling to it. Old shops combined with the adjacent Richmond centre with more modern offerings. Its a steep walk - one of the steepest hill main streets in Europe. Great fun

We strolled around looking at the great architecture, ancient walls & found the Craft Village...which was quite a find. Nice shops with local handmade products. My favorite was Number 19 Craft & Design which is a consortium of fashion and design pieces. I bought several pewter pins with painted clay designs on them (an owl, cat, and sheep) for gifts.... More

Derry's premier city centre shopping attraction welcomes all visitors. It's a great place with loads going on and close to all that central Derry has to offer.

This street is only about 300 meters, on a steep slope, from the war memorial in the Diamond, down to the Guildhall. It has two bars, several shops, Nando's, the entrance to both the Craft Village and the Richmond Shopping Centre, the Donegal Shop, an art gallery, and a couple of jewellers.
