Brave lady

Bernadette Devlin took a lot of risks in her time and paid the price in her time, I hope she is treated well in history as an outspoken advocate for the people of the Bogside

This mural and the story behind is very moving. We visited it as part of a city tour. It will bring tears to your eyes

This is rich in history and the murals are well done. They repaint them to keep them fresh and clean.

Puts you right in the troubles. The desperation and fighting can be palpable. Can feel a frustrated people expressing their fear anger horror. Some are graphic some are inspiring some sadden and some give you butterflies in the stomach

Viewing the People's Gallery (or Bogside Murals) is a must when visiting Londonderry/Derry. When my wife and I visited in September 2013, one of my favorite murals was the "Bernadette" mural. The mural depicts Bernadette Devlin in front of the Free Derry wall with a crowd of Bogside rioters behind her, and she is addressing people in the Bogside through... More
