I really enjoy visiting churches and in so many of them you find really ancient or stunningly beautiful things to marvel at. That is not the case here, which is perhaps not that surprising as it is a relatively modern church, constructed circa 1860. Of course I accept that my wish to enjoy exquisite woodwork, stonework, works of art etc... More

The chapel beneath the tower gives a glimpse of the Victorian glory there must once have been. Now a grim and unspiritual interior of lino and tatty fittings like an old Woolworths.

St. Mary's was my favorite church in Aberdeen. I used to attended the Sunday mass and its always a beautiful mass. Always had peace of mind and really enjoyed it.

St Mary of the Assumption is to us, who are used to more colourful and highly decorated baroque style churches, quite a simple though elegant building. Its very simplicity, provides the right atmosphere conducive to a more intimate relationship with the Lord.
