Great layout, especially the front nine. Some of the biggest dunes around. Bring your A game and some patience.

Played Royal Aberdeen just before they close for the winter. Had the course to myself ... just me, my caddie, and my wife, who walked along but didn't play ... and had a great time! The fairways are narrow, but the course is certainly fair....More

This was the second course we played on the same day, finishing at near 9 p.m. We were BEAT and maybe that contributed to poor play and generated a bad feeling about the course. In addition, we played in a high wind that was not...More

Went off as a single at half 3 on a Saturday following the members' tourney in the morn. I striped a driver 300 yards down wind off #1, parred in and then proceeded to dump a dozen Pro V1's into the gorse. Wind was howling,...More

We played it in 40 degree Fahrenheit weather and sideways rain, and still had a blast. Absolutely beautiful.

We played this course for the second time this past week. The temperature was about 45F and the winds were in the 20's but we still enjoyed the course. We walked and enjoyed the sound of the ocean and the natural beauty. This course has...More

It has been 4 months since my last visit to Scotland. Kingsbarns, Carnoustie, etc.;and it is Aberdeen that lingers in my memory. Nothing in Fife compares. Car-"nasty" is almost tame compared to the outward nine here. Some say the club is unwelcoming, but it is...More

Royal Aberdeen was the fourth and final course we played during our week in Scotland (North Berwick, The Old Course and The Jubilee came before us). The weather was beyond bad when we arrived - raining sideways, serious winds - in other words, nothing out...More

Course is in great shape but is living on its name. Very snobbish! Was not made to feel welcome. Definitely a members club. There are better links courses in the area and much cheaper and friendlier.

Royal Aberdeen is the quintessential Scottish Links golf course, which is what you'd expect from the 5th oldest golf course in the world. As good as any of the St. Andrews courses. A great test of golf, but fair. Excellent service and conditions. HIGHLY recommended!
