We visited with American family and enjoyed. The history in this Castle is vast and our family members loved the Scottish history. The guided tour was excellent. We had lunch in the cafe / restaurant which was very good value for money and tasty.

One of the most interesting Castles we have visited. Excellent guided tour is worth doing. The grounds are very impressive with lovely gardens. Interesting exhibition about the Queen Mother and her marriage to GeorgeVI.

My friend and I visited yesterday and enjoyed a lovely day. Gail, our tour guide was extremely good....not speaking too long, full of info, and we thoroughly enjoyed all the funny stories, including the ghost stories. How she remembers all the details is a miracle....More

A beautiful treasure. We spent several hours here on a recent tour of Scotland. The guided tour of the house was really interesting, though the guide needed to spend less time talking about ghosts and more talking about the history and the family from which...More

Incredibly disappointing. Travelled via Dundee to Glamis. Queue at entrance. The warden rushed us through unnecessarily quickly, and rather contemptuously. Parking was easy, with plenty of space. The castle presentation on the ground floor. Outside the toilets was badly located especially the section about the...More

We absolutely loved our visit to Glamis castle! The garden was beautiful, and the one hour tour gave a very nice and intimate view of the castle and the people that have stayed here. Really worth a visit!

Response from Glamis_Castle | Property representative |
yes, all our tours are guided, in English and take approximately 50 minutes to an hour. The tour is 10 rooms going from the grand (State Dining Room/Drawing Room) to the more intimate Royal Apartments of The Queen Mother.
