Visited Ardmaddy Castle Garden this week on a rather dull and damp day, we discovered a beautiful walled garden full of magnificent flowers in bloom and a very well stocked large vegetable patch. There is also a lovely tranquil water garden and woodland walk. Our day was truly brightened and we will definitely visit again.

We loved our visit to Ardmaddy Castle Gardens (part of the Gardens of Argyll scheme) - the rhododendrons and azaleas were magnificent, and the woodland walk a shear delight. The 'working gardens' and vegetable patches were interesting and it was nice meeting the gardeners and the owner.

We have visited Ardmaddy Castle Garden several times now in different seasons. It is a beautiful garden, well maintained, with plenty of interest at any time of the year. The garden at Ardmaddy is lovely, and it is in a perfect setting. There is a walled garden with vegetables, and the garden extends into woodland. It's very quiet, and the views are beautiful. Dogs are welcome on leads. Wheelchair access is possible. The path around the woodland area is steep and a little rugged, but you can enjoy the... More

Ardmaddy Castle hosts a beautiful and interesting garden with working vegetable and fruit gardens as well as beautiful flower beds and water features. The clock bed is full of colour and in particular hostas and rodgersias which give an impressive splash of colour. The blue poppies were out and there were interesting combinations of plants down Lady Murphys walk. A... More
