Very impressive castle and gardens. It did take us quite a while to pay and park but once through that the visit was excellent. Painted walls in the state dining room, Tapestries in the drawing room. Grand chandeliers, Gold and silverware. And much more. Then...More

My partner and I visited this most magnificent castle set in lovely landscaped gardens. It's best to avoid peak tourist season as it seems to attracted vast numbers of tourist coach parties who get in your way. Stick to the gardens for a real chill...More

One of the best castles we'd seen in Scotland. Nicely presented. Optional tours but can easily be done without. Gardens are nice too.

Lovely castle and gardens - loved that the history of the Duke of Argyll went right up to present day. Well worth the admission fee!

A good castle to visit. Spectacular display of swords and an interesting ceiling. Not too rambling and nice garden with good views.

This is one of the best kept-up properties I have visited. It was shiny and gleaming. The owner takes great pride. It has a great gift shop! Home of the Campbells of Argyll and is still oned by a Campbell.

My memory is that you paid as you entered the parking lot. Not sure if you could enter the grounds for a lower price or not. I will say the interior is amazing and worth the price!

Sorry Murgatroi, I'm not aware of an organised tour from Oban, although there are possibly some which take in Inveraray on their way.
