Good live music venue, the traditional Highland music really lets you immelse yourself in the Scottish culture. Quite a cheap bar and plenty of seating. The two guys performing were good and interacted with the Audience getting a lot of them up and dancing. More suitable for those with partners if you're gonna dance.

We spotted Skipinnish when searching online for things to do in in the evenings in Oban. What a fun place! Good traditional Scottish music; bagpipes, a drummer, accordion. They play a few songs, then invite people up to learn how to dance. The crowd was multi-generational, and quite diverse. Everyone was up and dancing and having a great time!

We stumbled across this place as we were headed back to our car after dinner. The super lively traditional music called to us. Upon entering we found 100+ young Scots having a wonderful time while learning traditional dance. Watching was mesmerizing. We weren't brave enough to join in, but loved watching it.

I had never been to a Ceilidh and this was so much fun! One of the band members. And to our hostel in his kilt with his bagpipes and escorted my tour group to the ceilidh playing the bagpipes. What a way to travel! And when we got there, even though we were terrible and had no idea what we... More

As part of Highland Heritage we visited Skippinish on the final afternoon. Although the steps were difficult for me being severely handicapped I managed to get up them with help and had a good seat on the third row. I was greatly impressed by the whole ensemble, particularly the fiddler, and loved the complete concert, even buying the three records!... More

We had an amazingly fabulous evening - from the Scottish country dances to the disco afterward and everything in between. It didn't matter that we didn't know the dances - the band gave us all the instructions, there was staff helping, and they were easy and fun. The band was engaging and their music totally awesome. The dancing is great... More

This was a great night out. The entertainment was awesome and appeared to get better as the night wore on. Not sure if this was proportional to the amount of local whisky i consumed.

Good local but professional entertainment. A good selection of acts and staff ask you up to dance if you don't know how to do it!
