We thought the fees were excellent and the money goes towards the upkeep of this historic castle. We went to see the installation of the Warden on Neidpath and then went back to visit the castle it is fantastic.

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit and exploring the castle on my own. Lots of history. But is not suitable for those with walking difficulties due to the old stairs throughout. Well worth the £5 it cost. Hope lots of folk will take the opportunity to visit...More

Very old inside and out, with great views over the countryside from the roof. A little expensive for an entry fee of £8 per person, but if it's all going to the upkeep, then I don't mind.

My family had the opportunity for a private tour of the castle and we are so glad we did! A beautiful castle with a rich history and breathtaking views. Definitely take the opportunity to take a tour there if you can - absolutely worth it!

A beautiful castle sitting high above the river Tweed, Sadly it it has been closed to the public for years, exept for private functions. Such a shame and many new pople living in the town have never seen inside.

The castle itself is closed for the public - unless you're here for an event - but there's a footpath going past the castle on both sides of the river and that's really worth exploring! Walking on for half a mile or so it takes...More
