Had a lovely wander through the gardens, very quiet and peaceful (even with 2 children under 5). There was a lovely play area too although be careful of the seesaw because one of my children fell off! A lovely couple of hours spent in a very picturesque place. Definitely worth the money.

We visited with our little grandchildren. They loved the fact that some sheep and lambs watched them eat their picnic. The gardens themselves are breathtaking. The views are stunning and there is a lovely woodland playground for the children to enjoy.

MOST WELCOMING TO US AND OUR WEE DOG IN ALL AREAS INCLUDING CAFE.. Really enjoyed our visit to gardens, fishing loch and osprey viewing centre. Would thoroughly recommend this venue to all.

Near Peebles, this was, on a Sunday morning, a very peaceful place to wander around and to sit in the sun in the walled garden reading the morning paper. Bluebells nicely in bloom. Cafe provided a nice scone and pot of tea - just right for a light lunch.

We came for lunch. The food was pricy & the side salad was inedible as it was rancid. We didn't bother saying anything we don't feel it would have made a difference. The servers were very inexperienced in all aspects and we even had to explain to one of them what a sweetener was to which we were advised they... More

We arrived at 10.30. Not a person to be seen anywhere! Our entry fee was placed in the honesty box and we ventured inside. To our disappointment the walled garden was locked off. However the snowdrops under the trees alongside the stream were very pretty. Length of visit 20 mins!

A quiet location for a gentle stroll around both a well kept woodland area and walled gardens. Unfortunately the café was closed on the day we visited.

Banks of snow drops flow down to the beck side during February. In places the snow drops are so plentiful that they do look like a blanket of snow. The site is not large and there would be more to see in the summer but the £3.50 entrance fee seemed reasonable. There were trails and information posts that could engage... More
