We enjoyed the museum and items view. The obscure camera was wonderful, very interesting and we'll worth a visit. Can't wait to see others around the country.

On entry this museum did not look particularly inviting but the exhibits were extremely interesting and they were well-displayed. They gave a really good insight into how ordinary people's lives were lived in the past.

This was a very interesting museum. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. We learnt a lot things about Dumfries at this museum.

An interesting museum with different themes as you walk around. There are exhibitions on Archaeology with a lot of items from long ago and you can see fossil footprints and various types of stones, and stuffed birds and animals. There are also different textile items...More

I've given this museum five stars for the camera obscura alone. The museum itself is worth exploring, and when we went there were school groups there - it was great to see it being visited. The camera obscura is outstanding. It was one thing to...More
