Lovely location for a walk - either on the way to Broughty Ferry / Monifieth or just to visit itself. Well maintained gardens, looked after by a team of volunteers. Lots of quiet places to sit, on a lovely day - or to wander round.

The Rock Garden can be combined with a walk on the adjoining beach, various plants tended by local Friends of the Rock Garden.

We came across the garden at the end of our walk along the 'promenade' at Broughty Ferry. It is small and compact but a lot of work has gone into making it look like a large rockery.

On a nice day it's a lovely spot to sit and watch walkers, dogs, the Tay, and hopefully dolphins leaping in the estuary. Just mind the rabbits!

Was up in this area today with my daughter and she dropped me off so that I could have a wander around while she did her own thing. The first thing that struck me was how impeccably kept the gardens are. There were 'Friends of...More
