No matter the weather it's always a pleasure to walk long the shore at Cramond. Fabulous views & a nice seaside spot for catching a bit of fresh air & peace. Lovely to see the small boats in the harbour.

I used to visit as a child and returned with my son. Great adventure across the sands to the derelict island. We even happened upon an octopus! Make sure you check the tide times for low tide as this is vital for your visit.

You can catch the bus from Princes Street, Edinburgh, and in twenty minutes you're here. I was visiting from USA with camera in tow. A relaxing beach, a nice walk out on the causeway at low tide, people with kids and dogs, a local bistro with outside dining and reasonably priced, lots of sea birds and ducks in the estuary,... Lovely location and lovely village. But be prepared for noise. It's directly in the flight path for Edinburgh Airport and the planes can be intrusive.

Be sure to get yourself down to the lovely village of Cramond. The highlight is the low tide walk to Cramond Island. Kids love it, as do adults. The village is so pretty, and there are numerous paths for walking and cycling. Also, lots of coffee/te shops, pubs and places to get ice cream.

Something to do for everyone.Lots of free parking and a great place to enjoy the breeze either "Walking in the Sand.."or "Riding along on a pushbike honey...." Fabby seaside... More

Cramond Village itself is very small and I wasn't in love with the pub/cafe selection, but the village is charming and has a beautiful waterfront location. The walk over to Cramond Island is worth 5 stars...if the tides are right and you get to head over, it's a really wonderful experience. The views over to the Dalmeny Estate and Castle... More

Very cute village, called on Saturday night for food in local pub but they were only serving sandwiches! Will return when in the area for a walk to explore more. There was an appalling smell in the area that night!!!
