I always choose university rooms when I'm in London, so thought I would try them in Edinburgh and I wasn't disappointed. The setting is magnificent with views of Arthur's Seat, and frequent buses into town night and day as well as wonderful taxis! Breakfast was...More

This is one of the best universities in the world and the campus is full of that old school spirit. They allow public to enter freely, so use that opportunity and take a stroll. Very inspiring place.

It is renowned for being slightly elitist and pretentious. The old university buildings are impressive and...More

Many of Edinburgh’s student hangouts gather around
university buildings in Southside, the sort of
neighbourhood that supports a long string of
second-hand shops and eateries serving ethnic food for
just a few pounds. In August the student population is
replaced by vast numbers of boisterous visitors here
for the Fringe, Edinburgh’s world-class comedy and
arts festival which headquarters itself here. Flanking
