Excellent. Val tailored our running tour for what we wanted to see and my ability. She was knowledgeable, punctual, and we learned a lot whilst getting exercise. Win win win.

St Andrews Running Tour

I came across St Andrews Running Tour in the Scots magazine & with just starting running this year & an upcoming trip to St Andrews (plus knowing that Chariots of Fire was filmed here) I knew I simply had to book on!
Val was extremely friendly, knowledgeable of the area & happy to take lots of photos in the iconic areas of St Andrews. We did a 5k loop taking in lots of sights & was blessed by a beautiful day. I would have no hesitation in recommending Val & the running tour - bring your trainers & get some exercise, the sea breeze, see the incredible sites of St Andrews, hear some fantastic stories & with Val
It’s like running with a friend. Thanks Val for a fantastic tourist run 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️

Fun Way to Explore St.Andrews

Val is warm, engaging and knowledgeable. She lead me on a wonderful tour of the town and I learned a great deal despite having spent a lot of time here as a child. The 5 km route included some spectacular views and was long enough to allow me to work off some of the baked goods I have been enjoying on holiday from Canada!! Highly recommend her tour:)

Training and touring!

Val met me and my big sister at the car park near the Golf Museum a bit before our scheduled start. I booked the tour because I’m currently training for the Great North Run this September and needed a good weekend run during my holiday.

Val showed us around the ruins of the Cathedral, the golf course and both East and West Sands. She was challenging but conscious of our comfort and safety throughout, letting us have walk breaks when needed.

This was the perfect opportunity to get an insiders view of what to see and do around St Andrews and inspired us for later on during the holiday!

Fabulous run through quaint St. Andrews

I am so happy to have found St. Andrews Running Tours. It was a wonderful way to see the city. I arrived to my hotel and my room wasn't ready so I contacted Val to see if we could do our run earlier then planned. She was available! We met up and went for our run/tour. It was so much fun. Having just flown in from the states, this was the perfect thing for me to do after sitting on an airplane for hours. The weather was a bit chilly but the sun was out and there was no rain, so that was a bonus. We ran by University of St. Andrews, the castle, the Cathedral, ran on the pier, through the Old Course to West Sands Beach (think Chariots of Fire) and ended up back at The Old Course hotel. It was so much fun. Val is a great tour guide, full of information. The run was about an hour and we would stop so she could tell me a little bit of history and then take photos of me...it was like having my own personal photographer! :) I highly recommend this activity to people that love to get out exercise in a new city. Thank you Val!!

Great way to see St Andrews

Whilst visiting St Andrews for the weekend Val took me on a tour of St Andrews with my husband, brother and sister-in-law. Whether you're new to St Andrews (like my sister in law who hadn't visited before) or you know the town well (like me - I went to uni there),Val's fun tour of the town will be of interest.

There's lots to see, and some great photo opportunities too (cue a reenactment of Chariots of Fire on West Sands beach). Val is great fun, we had a good laugh and chat on the 5k course. She also knows lots about St Andrews. It's a fun, gentle jogging tour round this beautiful town. I'd definitely recommend it!

Fantastic way to get exercise and see the city

I was in St Andrews for a few days and jetlagged having travelled from overseas. The running tour was a brilliant way to get some exercise and see the town. Val was a great guide and made me feel very comfortable. I highly recommend doing this.

Perfect first day in St Andrews

This running tour was really well designed and a lot of fun for me and my husband. It was a great way to see the city through the eyes of a local. Val is a super tour guide - she knew the history, the hot spots and all the little details we wanted to learn. The pace was perfect - an excellent way to see the sights!

Excellent running tour!

My husband and I booked a tour with Val to see what St. Andrews had to offer. We were not disappointed. She was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and we both thoroughly enjoyed the tour, running past the Old Course was a personal highlight for my husband. Exercise and sightseeing at the one time- ideal! Thanks Val!
