Myself and my fiancée booked the watch experience to get his and her inscribed watches as a memento for a weekend away on what would have been our weekend away. Good customer service from a family business. Products/watches are great and it really is an experience.

I was unable to book the watch building experience as it was fully booked online for today. We popped into the shop anyway and waited whilst the customer before us was dealt with . I knew which watch I wanted from the window and the young man who served me built the watch from new components and chatted to us about Kartel and our visit to Scotland, even offered us a drink. It’s a lovely timepiece and will be a good memory to remind me of St Andrew’s and Kartel when I wear the watch in the future.

We had an excellent experience at Kartel selecting our own unique watches through the watch building experience. The experience was very good, with the staff having in-depth knowledge of all things watches. I was surprised to see how vast the collection was; and how many products we could choose from. It was great to learn about the history of this Scottish brand of watches. All the products are of high quality and it was enjoyable to go through the multiple steps of creating your own watch. The straps are of great quality and come in a variety of materials. The shop is very well designed and very presentable. The whole experience was well worth the money - when I first investigated this as a birthday present I thought it would be much more expensive than what it is. I would suggest this experience to any avid watch enthusiast and to anyone who just wants to learn about watchmaking and have their very own unique watch. Your unique watch is then packed very well in a Kartel marked case and elegant bag. I will be going back again sometime soon to experience it all again (and to give Betty, the in-house dog, some more cuddles)
