About
Craigtoun Park is a 47 acre park only 2 miles from St Andrews. The park itself is open 24/7 and it's a great day out for the whole family. During the season try the Rio Grande Railway, Crazy Golf, Putting and Puffin' Billy - the road train that takes you round the whole park. There are rowing boats and pedalos, bouncy castles and pedal cars for the little ones plus - new for 2022 - go-karts for the not-so-little ones. In the event of inclement weather, some attractions may not run for safety reasons. The cafe is will be open daily for take away only until the season ends in October and serves a selection of breakfast rolls, sandwiches, paninis, teas and coffees, home baking and, of course, ice creams. For full details of all opening times, prices and event dates, please visit our website.

Visited the Park last Saturday (13th May) and unfortunately it was a shambles. Yes the fryer had broken which was unavoidable, but having to wait 25 mins for 3 plain hotdogs and having to send them back as they had sauce and mustard on them, and then wait another 25 mins for replacements was unacceptable! I would also suggest you rethink the idea of not being able to order a take away hot drink within the cafe, you will lose business as people will not wait on the extremely long ice-cream queue!

We were at craigtoun park yesterday spent the full day here my children absolutely loved it, we also had lunch in the cafe. The staff in the cafe were fantastic and very attentive. Nothing was too much for them, the food was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced for being in the park. Been to a lot of places where we would be £50/£60 easy for 5 of us. But there prices were fantastic. The park is fantastic all the different attractions for the children we were here for 5 1/2 hours and still could’ve stayed longer if it didn’t shut. Would highly recommend the park and the cafe.

What a brilliant day we had at this park. We bought day passes and were able to use them to the max (grandkids are 11, 8 & 6). We went on everything, some things more than once. Spent the whole day there having great fun. Lunch in the Cafe was OK too (there are also lovely picnic areas dotted about) then great ice cream to finish things off. Loads for the grandkids to do, nice walk around the gardens, good big car park and the staff were all amazing. Be prepared to do a lot of waving at all the little kids on the trains, really lovely. Looking forward to our next visit.

Lovely family park on the outskirts of S( Andrews. We have been here many times now we can’t believe we have missed this great park. It is on the outskirts of town we walked and took about 20 minutes. Kids loved the little train and we all had great fun. I would commend taking food we stopped at the marks and Spencer’s which was in the way and grabbed some snacks. Not a whole day event but we had fun.

Nice Park, quite dated but understand that upgrades are in the works. Plenty for the kids to do but cafe ruined it. Not one vegan option (not vegan but intolerant to dairy and egg) so my 2yr old basically couldn't eat unless subject to a 2hr wait for a portion of chips... staff absolutely clueless. Was told it would take 2hrs to make a sandwich as they ran out for the kids boxes 🤦♀️.

A lovely, well maintained park with plenty to do for all of the family. Dog friendly too. If you intended to take your pooch along. The cafe even done a dog menu!
We spent the morning here, nipped to our holiday lodge (at Country Meadows Holiday Park, 5 minute's along the road) Then came back and spent the rest of the day here. The ice cream parlour was very busy, so must of been good! and there was 2 food vans and a café, toilets on site too. The donuts from the van where delicious. We weren't too keen on the cafe food, we would bring a picnic the next time. Not majorly bad but just not to our tastes. There is plenty picnic benches/areas to put a blanket. Under 3's are free for all paid rides too, you only needed tickets for the adults to accompany them. Our toddler loved the park, bouncy castles, sand and trampoline area and the ride on karts area. We enjoyed the train/boats
We couldn't use the tractor at the start, due to having a pram. We could of left it in the car, however it was close to our toddlers nap time. We said next toke we would leave it in the car, so she could experience it. Some of the botanic and Japanese gardens weren't really anything to look at to be honest, but could be due to only just starting the season. We will definitely be back for another family day trip. It was a perfect day for all!

A brilliant place to visit. My family had the best fun together in many years - my grown up daughter especially loved the train, reverting to childhood in a happy instant! Extremely reasonable prices for the different activities and something for everyone to enjoy. My grandson loved it all, his favourite being the pedalo on the beautiful lake. Ken and Bruce, the train drivers, were absolutely great, doing their best to make it fantastic fun for everyone. The grounds are beautiful and the food on offer was delicious. We will make it a regular visit whenever we come to stay with family in St Andrew’s again.

Craigtoun is a huge, beautifully maintained park with interesting gardens hidden away.
Entry and parking is free so it’s a great value day out even if you do pay for a couple of activities - pedalos and rowing boats on the pond, go-karts, train and tractor rides. These are not overpriced as you would find in some places. The staff running the tractor ride when we visited were so friendly, and our son loved being allowed to sit on the tractor at the end.
there’s a decent adventure play park, Picnic areas, plenty of toilets and a cafe.
We will definitely be back!
