We visited here with older and younger children. While it was a pleasant activity (plan on spending a couple of hours at the very most!) it did seem quite expensive for the experience. The staff are friendly and obviously knowledgeable. There are planned feeding times which allow the general public to observe the animals and listen to the keepers share... More

We visited St Andrews Aquarium as my son loves aquariums. I was impressed with the variety of fish & other animals on offer at the centre. I had some concerns after reading other reviews on tripadvisor. I thought it was undeserved criticism. We spent 1 hour at this attraction, but could have stayed longer if we had taken in one... Looking for somewhere for a coffee we chose the cafe in the aquarium. Didn't have time to visit inside the aquarium but the cafe was nice, friendly waitress and good quality coffee.

Thank you for the review; and you raise a very good point: Anyone is able to use our Coffee Shop-you do not need to visit the aquarium to do so. Glad you enjoyed the coffee, hope to see you again soon. More

Visited here with my wife and 2 kids. One of which is in a wheelchair. Parking was busy and need to pay but free for blue badge holders. Steep in even hill path to walk up and down but easily accessible. Pay then go round the side to use the ramp into the cafe, gift shop and top part of... More

Thanks for your review. You may have guessed that's why we don't currently charge for wheelchair users or a helper. Thankfully every year the access improves as we do more renovation works and eventually we hope to have full access. It's the one major disadvantage of our otherwise spectacular site. The lovely views and historic buildings come at the cost... More

Good day out and kids really enjoyed it. Family ticket is pretty good value as you can use it all day, allowing you to look around, go away and then come back later for some of the feeding sessions and another look around. Not only is there an array of fish but there are also meerkats, reptiles, penguins and seals.... More

Glad you had a good time and thanks for the review. Yes we are rather proud of our all day tickets-St Andrews is a lovely town and it is nice to give our visitors that chance to explore. Nice to hear that you enjoyed the Coffee Shop. It aims to provide simple hot and cold snacks and drinks so we... More

I visited here with my partner - is set in a lovely location, very reasonably priced. Really enjoyed how the aquarium is set in different stages and lots of different animals to see. Spent a lot of time in the first room looking at the frogs and turtles which were lovely. Fun thing to do is participate in the hunt... More

The aquarium is very run down and needs some serious money invested into it. I didn't mind paying for the cost as it helps the animals to survive however I wouldn't go back neither would I recommend anyone to go.

Thank you for your review and your visit. As a completely self-funded organization we do struggle to raise the £100,000 or so which we spend on renovations each winter and so every little helps. Unfortunately, when we renovate an area it does make the adjacent areas which we have not touched look even more dated. So yes the native marine... More

The displays were informative and clear and they had made most of the space. The cafe is also very good. The place is quite small and my kids only managed to stay entertained for an hour.
