We came to see our son playing for a University theatre production. Buying tickets online was very easy. It's a small theatre and very well maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful. Lots of toilets - very clean. Auditorium seats are high backed and very comfortable with a reasonable amount of leg room for 6'+ tall people (2 in my party)... More

Hi. Thank you for the review. Glad you had a great show and supporting the student productions we think they do a great job of putting on a near professional performance. The acoustics are very good and are naturally supportive to the slightly less powerful voice. Looking forward to welcoming you again to the Restaurant and Theatre in the future.... More

We were walking the streets after seeing St. Andrews Cathedral and found this gem! We were very lucky to see Worbey and Farrell at the Piano!! We just loved them, if you can find them you must see them, the talent was incredible! We booked tickets that afternoon. They also have a restaurant and a bar as well. They have... More

On a 2 week drive tour of Scotland and Ireland, we spent 2 nights in St. Andrews and one night, we attended a show at the Byre Theater. Lovely theater, reasonable prices and the show was a blast - a comedy/music show with 2 men playing 4 hands on 1 grand piano. Excellent atmosphere - definitely a hidden gem in... More

Delightful theatre let down badly by its restaurant. Very restricted pre theatre menu which was disappointing in itself but when the two courses we ordered were found to be unavailable we ended up with a plate of not very nice pate followed by a portion of chips then to be told that our dessert had run out too. The chips... More

It's a few years since I last visited The Byre. This time I travelled from Dundee to see a most enjoyable Iranian film, "The Wind Will Carry Us", presented by the University Film and Anthropology societies. I entered the theatre via the close and spooky lane, to be confronted by several ladies knitting feverishly. Had it been a French film,... More
