A really informative snapshot of policing
Quirky, interesting little museum. Easy to access, up on the first floor in one of the old buildings. Coincidentally the stairs are black and white checks. Bob introduced himself and was a wealth of info. Appreciated his knowledge and enthusiasm. Very interesting chronological exhibition. Interested historical cases. Highly recommended. Free admission but donations appreciated to assist in the collections upkeep. Thanks very much!

    Worth visiting!
This wasn't on our radar to visit, but given the rain in Glasgow, we needed to get in out of the weather. However, we were given a warm welcome at the door and this little Museum is very interesting and I do recommend a visit. Some interesting stories to read!!

The best and most interesting museum to visit
I was pleasantly surprised at what a great museum to visit. It isn't very big but it is so well set out and there was so much information to absorb. The 2 gentleman that greeted me when I arrived were so friendly and helpful and had so much knowledge to pass on. The displays were brilliant and so organised. I would thoroughly recommend anyone to visit it as it was very interesting.

    Fascinating little museum
This small museum located in a first floor flat above a restaurant in the Merchant City is well worth a visit. The exhibits are fascinating as well as being extremely well laid out and informative. The ex-police officers who run this little gem voluntarily are a font of knowledge and their little stories really bring the exhibits to life. Their passion for keeping this little part of history alive is commendable. Spent a most enjoyable couple of hours here and learned so much. Thank you.

    Fantastic little museum
Called to the museum looking for something to do in a rainy day in Glasgow. So glad we did. It's a fantastic little place and made all the better by the volunteers. Both kids were given quizzes, a Lego search for the 9 Yr old, and a quiz for the teenager.... I must commend the staff in managing to engage a stroppy teenager. She really enjoyed reading and researching the questions and actually smiled when awarded her junior detective certificate! 🤣 The displays are well organised and easy to read and understand, the staff on hand yo help and share knowledge. Definitely recommend a visit.

Visited this museum today, the welcome was warm and the introduction to the items on display was very interesting. Small but well formed with lots of information. Kid loved becoming a junior detective. Definitely a good find and enjoyable experience

It was a typical rainy day in Glasgow and we passed two signs pointing to the museum. Getting wet we gave it a go and were welcomed by the open arms of the law in the guise of a Bob and Ernie. The best double act since the Krankies. True gentlemen and extremely interesting, giving a personal tour and insights into their own experience. Fascinating. What is a small museum is worth every minute, about a hour but could easily have been more. I loved the old truncheons, guns and uniforms from around the world. Bob and Ernie are worth a visit on their own. Visits are free but rely on donations so go, donate and ask Ernie about what time Sean Connery goes to Wimbledon!

I am an ex-police officer and made a bee-line for this museum as soon as I arrived in Glasgow. It's quite a small museum but take your time, read all this information boards and you'll learn a great deal. Make sure you visit the display of badges/uniforms from around the world as well. Very friendly staff.

I honestly did say this on entry, but then realised five million other visitors must have also said this!!
Anyway, this museum is above interesting. The artefacts on display are quite scary at times , however the guy who guided us explained everything perfectly.
Would definitely recommend.

This past summer we made our first trip to Glasgow. We always walking around the cities we travel, and based the reviews of this museum, we made a point of visiting. It was truly one of the highlights of our trip. The retired coppers showing us around were engaging, funny and just so appreciative that we came by.
If you are visiting Glasgow - you should really put it on the top of your to-do list!
And it's FREE ADMISSION - Brilliant!

Slightly hidden, due to being through an innocuous looking doorway & up to the 1st floor. Well sign posted out on the street though.
Compact museum, but extensively filled with displays of facts & artifacts. The staff were so enthusiastic (being retired policemen), keen to elaborate on the displays with extra information & stories. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely time at this little gen of a museum. There was a lego trail for our daughter, with a certificate at the end and lots of incredible detail in the displays. The curator is very knowledgeable and was easily able to answer my questions. I highly recommend.

This is a super wee museum with free entry and staffed by enthusiastic volunteers. Well worth a visit and very interesting. It’s right in the heart of the Merchant City with plenty of eateries and coffee shops nearby.

This was a good little find for an hour in the city of Glasgow. We stumbled across it and popped in.
A small museum ran by volunteers, who were very knowledgable on policing history in Glasgow, clearly had a passion.
The second room had a collection of international uniforms including hats, different forces badges and emblems. The volunteers were very friendly and had a good discussion regarding the collection.
If you have an interest in policing it is well worth a visit for an hour.
