The award winning Glasgow Climbing Centre offers a unique rock climbing experience, for people looking for a new sport to enjoy, or for existing climbers just arrived in Glasgow. We make full use of the converted church we are in, with climbing routes stretching up into the original oak beamed ceiling. We offer Bouldering, Top/Bottom roped climbing and Lead climbing with route graded from beginner to elite.

Our great eatery, The Balcony Cafe, offers something for climbers and non climbers alike, with alternate vistas of climbing and original stained glass windows. This year we are Hit Listed by The List, as one of the finest cafes in Glasgow.

Had an amazingly fun time climbing different walls and abseiling out of the steeple. Colin was an excellent instructor who asked and listened to what we wanted out of this experience. He taught us the basics and even managed to persuade my daughter to do the abseil. It certainly was a 62nd birthday 'party' with a difference and I'm delighted... More

Took my 2 grandchildren(7 and 12yrs) to centre for a two hour 'Holiday Club' session. The had a great time and we were able to get pictures of them climbing. Group was small enough to be safe but large enough to be interesting for both ages. I booked on line and felt prices were reasonable as included all safety equipment.... More

The arena itself was inside an old church. You could still see the stone glass windows and arch ways. I loved this feature. Over all the quality of the climbing arena was good. The climbs were challenging and there was a few to choose from. My main concern was that some of the routes could do with more definition as... More

Absolutely awful! Staff have a major attitude problem, was made to feel very unwelcome (was it because I wasn't a climber and with a young child??) there was no structure to the way the cafe was run, staff basically bawled out your order like you were at primary school and expected you to run up and get it. What happened... More

Hi Emily. What Happened? Im not sure, but I would like to get to the bottom of this. I would be grateful if you could email me with the date and time you came in, so i can find out more. We are a bit stuck in our little cafe, and so when we are busy, staff are not able... More

Situated in a former church the Climbing Centre offers a good variety of climbs for all ages and abilities. There are challenging lead climbs, bouldering walls, automatic belays and a cafe if you need a break. You can do training sessions which will equip beginners with the skills and knowledge to climb safely. Equipment is available for hire or you... More

Torn between here and the climbing centre in Ratho but as this was closer came here. Arrived and the guy on the desk quite frankly seemed like he couldn't be bothered with us despite four of us wanting to pay to use the centre. First impressions count!!!!! Fortunately the guy who did our assessment was much cheerier and redeemed the... More

Hi John. I couldn't agree with you more. First Impressions do count. I'm sorry to hear ours counted for naught with you. I have taken the opportunity to remind staff of this, with your words. Hope you will chose to visit us again, and thanks for your feedback. Other people would just walk away and we would be none the... More

I was looking for something a little bit different to do with my kids aged 10 and 8 and this certainly was. A great fun filled afternoon that the kids really enjoyed. The staff were very friendly and informative, from watching the safety video to advising which areas to tackle as beginners. My 2 set about it like natural born... More

I have been a member here for many years and it is a fantastic centre. Lots of variety of wall and bouldering. Staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. Even has a wee cafe if you come with non climbers, they can watch :)
