I have visited this bar many times over the years but wouldn't consider myself a regular. It is normally in the afternoon/early evening. Can't find fault with this place, as the service is good and the prices very keen. I found the bar staff pleasant and attentive. If I had to find anything negative, it is the lack of better... More

Fabulous locals pub in Partick very near Kelvinhall Subway. The beer is great - and the Guinness especially good. I love the decor too - stained glass and wood panels give it a traditional feel - as do the locals. It's a noisy, lively place. Have a HnH - otherwise known as a Hof n Hof (half a pint and... More

Potentially a very nice bar, but held back by cliquish staff whose main interest is their friends. A pity as they have good music nights. But it is the bottom end of Patrick, so knuckle dragging is the norm.

It's a pub. Crisps. Great beers. Great Guinness. Local folk. Great atmosphere. Relax. Enjoy. This is a pub and not a classic bar. Pub. Not food. Just a great bar.

So I was on my business trip, delivering some essentials, when I came across this quaint, rather cosy little pub near the famous kelvingrove gallery. Upon entering the pub I took a brief look around the outer infrastructure, which looked splendid. When I entered, finally, it was so much more than I expected. The 18th century Gregorian decor was sublime,... More

I recently went to the Lismore one Saturday night for a couple of pints and a catch up with some old friends. This was the first time I had been here despite passing it for years. The atmosphere was good and they have an excellent selection of whisky's which we proceeded to sample. Near the end of the night they... More

One rainy afternoon, which was also my last day in Scotland, i decided to take shelter in Lismore. An excellent decision, within 15 min my melancholic feelings were morphed into joy. The atmosphere is 100% scottish, their whisky collection is outstanding. Fire-place, a mixed and friendly crowd, a perfect place to knit conversations with strangers or just to sit and... More

Love this pub, made new friends and on my next trip to Glasgow am going to go on a Thursday for one of the folk nights, and had Heather Ale in bottles so started on that and then just had Tennents and was quite happy - didn't want to leave!! Good music on in background and had good banter with... More
