Top notch from beginning to end. Wes, Jenny and Angus could not have been nicer. Their expertise helped 3 new fly anglers land 9 beautiful rainbow trouts. Wes even cooked one of the big ones for a beautiful lunch. This is definite must do if you are in Scotland.

Just returned from a most memorable 2 day fishing trip in Scotland for my dads 70th birthday. Our host Wes was fantastic. He collected us from the station after we arrived at Inverness on the Caledonian overnight sleeper from Euston and we headed straight to his private Loch and a most delightful isolated log cabin containing many rods and other... My son and I spent two unbelievable days with Wes in a fantastic location on his private loch. Day one was spent spinning with a variety of lures for trout and pike. Day two was spent dead baiting with half mackerels as bait. Nothing was too much trouble and Wes's expert guidance resulted in us eating freshly caught trout in... More

I'm a novice (emphasis on novice) fly fisher and have dreamed of this since I was a little girl. It could not have been a better experience. Wes set me at ease and worked with me in the morning to improve my casting, and I am so proud of what I accomplished because of his tuition. Wes is an excellent... More

I book this trip for my Dad's 50th birthday and wow did we have a great time!! :-) We went for the weekend and was greeted at the airport by Wez himself, and took back to his house for a warm drink as we had arrived late in the evening, there we met the rest of the family (who were... More

the weather was ominous - but we had the best guide on earth who managed to help us not only catch fish but who inspired and amused us enough to stay out in the really cold conditions to keep fishing. Wes and Roz where so thoughtful and attentive and organised to support my daughter, (with a motor planning issue), to... More

A friend and I arranged for a day fishing with Wes, at the lakeside cabin he runs with Roz. We were promptly picked up at our hotel and driven out of the city, into sheep farming territory, and, finally, to their rustic cabin. We got completely outfitted and had a wee dram for good luck. The days was cold and... More

My family loved spending the day fishing on the loch with Wes and Roz. Wes was very patient and instructive with us all. He even rowed us all over the Loch in the wind while we caught many fish. Roz was a joy to talk to and her Scottish lunch was delicious. Be sure and bring a deck of cards... More

My wife had never fly fished before and Wez was able to really get her to thoroughly enjoy it. Not only did he have her casting on her own but she caught around 9 trout. They took us to the most beautiful hill Loch outside of Inverness. Not only was it an absolutely stunning location set amongst sheep filled hillsides... More

WOW! Such a phenomenal experience! Wes, Jen (daughter) and Brock (adorable black lab) showed us an incredible day of over-the-top hospitality and excellent fishing at their fishing cabin/Loch. From the pick up at the hotel to the nifty cabin and well-stocked Loch (pike, brown trout, rainbow trout, Arctic char) to the really nice lunch spread - it was a great... More
