A warm welcome awaits you at Glen Moray Distillery in Elgin. Glen Moray has been distilled on the banks of the River Lossie since 1897 by a small dedicated team of craftsmen. In over a century of distilling at Glen Moray, much has changed. However, the ingredients, processes and the skills of those responsible for producing this finest quality single malt whisky remain constant.

A small, friendly and informal distillery, Glen Moray is situated in the city of Elgin, the historic capital of Speyside. The area around Elgin is known as the Laich of Moray and has a mild climate. Indeed, an old Moray saying proclaims that the Laich of Moray has forty days more summer than any other part of Scotland – making Glen Moray one of the sunniest distilleries in Speyside.

The Visitor Centre runs tours of the distillery, tastings of the whiskies available and has a small coffee shop and gift shop.

Very interesting and good value. £5 entry and you get a guided tour. After you get two samples. When we went it was very quiet and true lady let me sample their Cream Liqueur which was ace! I think the 15 year one is the best.

Great value for money. . Small but nice atmosphere. Pleasant helpful staff- always smiling. Excellent scones. Tasty lunch selection. Also some outside seating- more would be an idea for sunny days?? There is also a open to the air area.

Although not one of the most famous available for a tour, the distillery tour at Glen Moray is informative and enjoyable and located close to Elgin so very convenient for this visiting or passing through the area.

We joined the tour guide who I found to be quiet rude a Eastern European lady who didn't speak up or clearly on the tour when we headed back to the little cafe/reception area were able to try two tasting not even a dram... This distillery is on the moray whisky trail. A tour round the distillery tells you how whisky is made and there is a tasting at the end

Sorry for the late review but based on the current reviews it doesn't look like anything has changed at Glen Moray. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The tour and tasting was great for the most reasonable price of £5! We stumbled onto the Glen Moray distillery by accident while driving from Inverness to Speyside in the summer of... More

This was our first whiskey tour experience but we weren't disappointed. Well worth the £5 ticket which included 2 tasters. Very informative tour, interesting even for those who don't usually drink whiskey.
