A walk starting at the car park just past Moulin lasts around 4 hours. The views of Pitlochry and the surrounding countryside on the way up are spectacular. The climb can be a bit relentless at times if you aren't too fit but there are...More

We were lucky enough to have a fine day for the walk up Ben Y Vrackie. The carpark at the start of the walk is well signposted, as is the walk. The last steep section to the summit is quite hard going but well worth...More

Gentle climb at the beginning with a moderately steep climb at the end. Wonderful views at the top when clear. Can be very windy and cold.

Long and steep climb but well maintained, safe path. Beautiful, unspoilt views at summit, suitable for novice climbers but a basic level of fitness is essential. Easy to access route from car park behind Moulin Hotel.

There's a long pleasnat stroll over the moor and past the lochan until you get to the base of Ben Vrackie, and then it's a pretty unrelenting upward climb, however the path is first rate and the pain is well worth it for the views...More

Ben y Vrackie is the mountain that dominates the Tummel Valley, and Pitlochry, and is a landmark seen from many miles in all directions. It can be climbed from Pitlochry itself, or by using the purpose-built car park beyond Moulin at Baledmund which takes off...More

Good car parking available and when you leave the car park you start to climb steadily until you reach the bottom of the Hill and then it gets tougher and this continues all the way to the summit, so if your not fit, then don't...More

Although not a 'Munro' this is still well worth the effort. Well structured paths to summit and the views are fabulous. Easily accessible from the village of Moulin, up the West Moulin Rd from Pitlochry.
