Fell upon the Trossachs trail loop by mistake whilst on route to woollen mills in Kilmahog(dodgy name). Turned out to be glorified gift shops so gave them a swift swerve and ended up on the Sir Walter Scott steamboat. Through some beautiful countryside down to Aberfoyle and on to Stirling.

My husband and I enjoyed walking on several of the trails in Loch Lomand and the Trossachs National Park. It is a scenic and peaceful area. In most cases there is adequate parking near the trail heads and the lochs. We were able to find picnic tables and restrooms easily when needed.

Lovely walks around different lakes and hills. Didn't see as much wildlife as we had thought. Howver, amazing views once you get higher of the town and lakes below.

The trail loop is a hiking trail where you can take some nice photos and take in some great scenery. The town just outside the loop is very quiet, but it has a quaint coffee/tea cafe that is nice to relax in just after your hike.

Loch Lubnaig is a stunning beauty spot, 5 miles west of Callander. The Cabin is perfect to stop and have a bite to eat, everything is cooked/baked on the premises and is very tasty and fresh. There are lovely picnic tables where you can sit and enjoy the stunning scenery. Excellent toilet facilities which are spotlessly clean. Travel a bit... More

Spent a lovely day driving through the Trossachs. Beautiful scenery, roads not too busy despite time of year. Stopped and walked one of the forestry trails with our dog and then again in Callander to wander through some shops and have a late lunch.

It is a very nice day out for car drivers, motorcyclists, cyclists and walkers. Take a packed lunch with you. There is also a nice cruise on the Sir Walter Scott Steamship as well. Highly recommended area to visit. This is the start of the Highlands as far as I am concerned and really beautiful. There is a few nice... More

A nice off-road trail in the Trossacks area. There are a few places to stop and enjoy the peaceful scenery so take a flask and stop to take in a sample of nature's glory.
