We spent the afternoon at Culzean Castle and had a great time. I would recommend it to any tourist in the area. The history here is remarkable, and for American's as well. This was the "second home" of President Dwight D. Eisenhower, and he visited...More

This is the first castle I'd ever seen so I am possibly biased but I spent my time at the castle and around the grounds in absolute awe. The work to maintain a property this size must be intense. Some areas were signposted as under...More

We had an amazing day at Culzean the playground was the best we've ever been too - the kids couldn't get round it all! The beach was great fun and the grounds are stunning.

Stunning building in a superb location - sitting on the cliff edge looking across the Firth of Clyde to the island of Arran. Gorgeous interiors and beautiful gardens.

Run by the National Trust of Scotland it is, as you would expect, in superb condition and the volunteers really know their stuff. There is major outside works going on at the moment but this did not distract from the visit.

This castle is situated in a prominent place which offers excellent views. The rooms are very interesting and you don't have to be part of an organised tour to see the castle. Lovely gardens and walks. Definitely recomm he this as a place to visit.

The Castle is open from Easter until the end of October unless there is a special event. As it is owned by the National Trust it is worth checking their website.
