As others have said, an amazing garden with lots of plants for sale too - how does she get all of those cuttings to strike?!?! The lady who owns the garden is extremely eccentric to say the least and as others have said lacks people...More

A wonderfully creative and imaginative garden It is in a magical location. The garden seems to reflect not only its creator's love and understanding of gardening but also of the landscape. This garden has perfectly found its 'sense of place'. Plants growing in seemingly natural...More

This is an incredibly beautiful garden, just on the coast road in the West of Mull. Feels like a fantasy gatdem. Small garden centre and lots of advice available from Lucy.

The visit to this garden was without doubt the highlight of our trip to Mull. What an incredible achievement for Lucy who has created this patch of heaven from nothing. 11 years of what must have been very hard work and a real labour of...More

A real gem of a garden hewn out of the hillside by one woman over 11 years. A treat to explore and also to enjoy the views across to Ulva. Lucy showed us around and was very generous with her time. Boundless enthusiasm.

Isle of Mull is an amazing place and Ballygown is just beautiful. I was really looking forward to visiting these gardens and was planning on purchasing some plants from Lucy. She, unfortunately is one of the rudest women I have ever had the displeasure of...More
