Calgary Bay is located just after Calgary Village, a 1 hr ish drive from Tobermory via Dervaig on a single track road. The drive to the bay across is spectacular with the viewpoint overlooking Dervaig outstanding. The bay itself is photogenic with its glorious white...More

What a beautiful place, so quiet and peaceful. Vaste open white sand with a gentle run into clear waters which are so clean and inviting. The dog loves it! Glorious walks to one side teaming with wildlife. Bird life galore plus the chance to see...More

Calgary Bay is a superb sandy beach with great walks close by. It is easy to reach but you will not find it too busy. It is best in sunshine but even with a low cloud level, it is still a great experience.

Calgary village above Calgary Bay is the origin of the Canadian city name. The bay itself is a beautiful white-sanded strand facing onto the wide Atlantic which the poor unfortunates "cleared" from this hamlet were required to face in Scotland's shameful genocide against the highlanders...More

A normal beach but there is a wee stream that runs down to the beach as well. The lack of people makes it really quite charming.

Just before you reach the bay, there is Calgary farm cafe, this is a must visit! It has the best homemade scones on Mull and Columbian coffee. Once refreshed turn right and proceed to the most stunning bay, this is my second visit both times...More

This is a special and wonderful place. I hope it never becomes spoiled by too many visitors which could happen. Isolated yet charming , it has so much to offer without being commercial. Needs a tender and caring touch and deserves to be cherished.
