Played here with a society recently, no problems with booking or tee times. Course in great nick, very friendly gentleman on the 1st tee. Lovely meal afterwards, only thing Carlow can be faulted on are the locker rooms, I imagine they have been updated in 50 years. Otherwise it's well worth a trip

I played in a society outing on the 7th of September,2016. Excellent golf course with a varied range of holes. Course was in very good shape, greens a bit slower than normal. a nice welcome,as usual.

We played here over the weekend and really enjoyed the experience, from the greeting in the Proshop to teeing off. The weather wasn't the best but the course stood up well. It's an old course that has stood the test of time. Not overly long but the shape of the fairways and the tricky greens mean you won't eat it... More

Very enjoyable not overly long but has some challenging par fours. Par 5's are a little weak off front tees but well worth a visit. Ground can play more like a links in summer hard fairways and small greens in general. highlights where par four 14th and 16th both very good holes Would definitely like to play again here its... Staying in Carlow for a few days we were blessed with beautiful weather so took the opportunity to play a couple of rounds of golf. The 9 hole course just up the road from the main course was less busy so we opted to played it. It's a parkland course with a couple of quite long holes and a couple... More

I have booked tee off times at this course on 3 occasions and have only managed to play here once . I will get to the course here later but the real issue here lies with the management and members . We booked for a 2pm tee off and arrived at 1.35 . When we arrived we could see upwards... More

Last week I played in Carlow Classic with 3 girl pals. The courses were wonderful, Carlow, Bunclody and Mount Wolsey and the weather stunning. This Classic is good value, for 149 euro, 3 days golf, a goodie bag each day, a lunch voucher for 2 days and super Gala dinner last night, followed by dancing and singing. My only gripe is... More

Carlow golf club is an old course and this is evident as you stroll along the scenic fairways. This is a well maintained, mature test of your game. I am delighted to report that each hole presents a different challenge and the Driver is not needed nor advisable on several of the par four holes. Too many courses today think... More
