Perfect museum for learning about the area and its fascinating history. I was happy to spend a rainy day going back in time. The graphics are so good that any age or nationality will able to understand the displays.

This museum provides an overview of the history of the area known as Clare County. It provides some details,of the area but please don't expect the Museum of Natural History ! The museum charges no admission fee and is conveniently located next to an official tourist center. If you like history, this is a nice museum.

Small interesting museum right in the centre of Ennis. It has one very interesting feature- you need to go to see it. Kids loved it. A little find in the heart of Ennis. My 6 year old found it very interesting and enjoyed the idea of the turf and puctures of olden times

I enjoyed this charming museum that is easily reached by foot in the great walking town of Ennis. I especially enjoyed the exhibit about water and holy wells, and also enjoyed seeing artifacts about fishing and the port. The museum is free. Be aware that it is closed for lunch. An Ennis information center is located on the ground floor.... More

It's centrally located and entrance is free. The information center is located on the same ground floor. There are lovely artifacts, stones and interactive displays with voice or music. Be sure to go up to the second story as you might overlook it--stairs or elevator. The guards are super friendly and interested in their visitors.
