This tour is the best thing I have done in long time. It far surpassed my expectations. Although it is still being developed the personal passion that our tour guide John Flynn showed made it all the more interesting. There wasn't a question unanswered and the mystery of what is still to be discovered has intrigued me. I will be... More

The boat from Cobh to Spike Island passed haulbowline where we saw 2 seals resting on the shore. The island itself gives a great view of the harbour and the fort is interesting. The council staff were helpful friendly and good for a laugh. It's worth a visit on a warm day.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting much when I stepped onto the ferry to visit Spike Island, maybe just a bit of a walk and a laugh, but from the moment we stepped off the ferry and our tour guide John Flynn starting explaining the history of the Island, I was hypnotized by his devotion to the exploration of the... We really enjoyed our visit to Spike island and the excellent guide, John Flynn. The island has a huge history and there is great potential there for longer tours. The short ferry trip was most enjoyable and the views of Cobh harbour as we sailed back in the evening were beautiful.

We went here on the opening weekend of the season and we had a great time. I had been wanting to go for quite some time and was not disappointed. There was so much to see and the walk around the island from place to place was lovely. The staff were lovely very helpful and informative. The history of the... More

The history about spike is just breath taking. Since the second we stepped on the island we were divided into two groups. We were put with the guide John Flynn. He was excellent. I don't want to talk about the tour too much as it would ruin it. Small bit of advice would be to update the website to explain... More
