We came here after being recommended by our taxi driver and we were pleased we did as the produce was all very fresh and beautifully presented. We sampled some very tasty chocolates.

What a place to walk through if you are hungry. Fish, breads, cheese, pastries, etc. There is something for everyone. A little hard to find. There are small brown signs pointing the way. Most people will be happy to get you there.

If you like the Pike Place Market in Seattle, you'll love the Old English Market in Cork. Fish, poultry, cheese, olives, fruit, vegetables, pastry, chocolate, bread, and on. Great surprise find, Tunisian pottery at really reasonable prices!

When I visited the Old English Market, I didn't intend to buy anything and I just went there for a visit. But even if you're not there for shopping some fresh meat or fruits and veggies, it's definitely worth a visit. The different smells in the air and the atmosphere made me feel like I'm on a market 100 year... More

Lovely touristy place to visit and their professional approach is beyond words! Love it there! No chicken fillets that shrink when cooked, fresh vegetables and the cheese store... Let you taste all first and if you ask for fruity, you get fruity, if you'd like nutty, you get nutty, all after a taste, of course. Fantabulous!

The English Market is a very interesting spot, lots of great stalls selling delicious looking products! We got some chocolate from David's stall. Yum! We had a bit of a bad experience when talking with the fish mongers about the movie Young Offenders. All I can say is lighten up and have some craic.. People are always gonna be asking... More
