Enjoyed a lovely walk down through the glen and past the lough and castle. Fortunately we were visiting with friends so we were able to do a car drop in the main car park then drive round and begin our walk at the top of the Bridle Path. The extra drive afterwards to retrieve the car was well worth it... More

I've visited Glenveagh regularly over the years and in different seasons; it never fails to surprise and enchant. Most recently we had the opportunity to impress overseas guests who marvelled at the spectacular frost tinged pathways sparkling in the winter sun. The park is beautifully maintained, the house tour is a joy and the gorgeous cafe is a welcome haven... More

If you like a beautiful walk in nature this is the place to go. Rather than taking the bus which is laid on from the Car Park to the Castle you may prefer to walk. This is a beautiful walk..one of the nicest places I have ever been. Also I found the tress stunning...all different kinds.

I already adore Glenveagh National Park, having been a regular visitor since the age of thirteen. However, I only found out recently that this wonderful park also runs a bus service for those of us who like to go for a walk in beautiful surrounds at the weekends. The bus apparently runs at 10am Sat/Sun and on bank holidays. You... More

This place is amazing. No charge to get in..... No charge to park your car..... No charge to use the toilet... Friendly staff to guide and direct you. The jewel in the crown is the castle/county house at the end of the long walk. You can get to it by foot for free, or go by mini bus for a... More

Unspoiled Donegal at its finest. A chance to see some wildlife up close and personal. The castle is nice to visit too.

a great place to visit. They is a great sense of calmness when we visited here. The forrest is beautiful and you could walk around the place all day. We never got to visit the house on the lake as we were caught for time but from what we could see it looked amazing. Donegal is a great place to... More

Visited this second largest national park in Ireland in January 2017 with 2 other adults and three children. What a brilliant day out it was! It is very child friendly. The park is about an hour, maybe a bit less, from Derry in Northern Ireland. The drive to it is stunning. We went via Churchill (R251) after bypassing Letterkenny, through... More
