A good place for a browse, esp if you are looking for Irish interest. The sale in the cellar is more open - and some good bargains here. The cafe upstairs has comfy sofas and reasonable drinks, including some nice herbal teas.

This bookshop is so cute in Dublin. They have unique books based on Ireland's history. They also have graphic novels for teenagers.

If I hadn't had three young children with me, I would gratefully have spent a day nibbling delicious goodies, sipping coffee, ignoring my phone and reading at this wonderful store/cafe.

A bookshop with a wonderful atmosphere - excellent choice of books, a lovely café upstairs, friendly staff. I made holidays in Dublin in October 2016 and June 2017 and visited "Books Upstairs" every day of these holidays.

What a place! This is the perfect bookshop. Immaculately laid out, beautifully curated, and with the added bonus of a lovely cafe on the top floor. I could have stayed here for hours, and will definitely go back, but if you're in Dublin you should...More

After visiting Trinity College and full of admiration for the Book of Kells I happened to find "Books Upstairs"...great name, witty, humorous... the narrow traditional (georgian?) building hosts the bookstore on groundfloor. A small room filled (among others of course) with a selection of great...More

I think I visited almost every bookshop in Dublin during my time there, this is by far my my favourite. Great atmosphere, really interesting selection of books, really friendly and helpful staff and a gem of a cafe upstairs all housed in a beautiful building
