Living in Dublin, I had often passed CHQ and EPIC but never gone in. That changed today. It truly is epic! It is a wonderful, innovative, diverse homage to the history of Irish migration, and examines positives and negatives in a balanced fashion. It's also an engaging multimedia experience. I very highly recommend.

Overview of emigration from Ireland with a lot of propaganda of how great the Irish are - not unexpected of course, but could use more interpretation and history behind events.

Hello EdB328, Thank you for visiting EPIC the Irish Emigration Museum. We were voted Europe’s Leading Tourist Attraction in the 2019, 2020 and 2021 World Travel Awards, which is voted for by the public and industry professionals, as we have a wide range of offerings including educational resources and temporary exhibitions which earned us the title. As you can imagine it is impossible to accurately reflect the views of everyone on a story as complex and expansive as the one of Irish migration. So with that in mind, one of our original aims with EPIC was to be a first port of call to international visitors to Ireland, to give them a general overview of Irish emigration to help them understand how Irish people have spread around the world, and how such a small island has had such a large impact and influence on the globe. Our Visitor Experience team are also on hand throughout our museum to help answer any questions regarding figures within the exhibition, and can provide additional information on a wide range of topics. Kind Regards, Lindsay The EPIC Team

As I am convinced (IMO) that Ellis Island is the first place to visit arriving in NYC, I am convinced as well that the "EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum" is the first place to visit arriving in Ireland/Dublin. Either you come as a tourist or as a resident, you can't ignore this country's though history!
The exhibition is really well organized, interactive, gripping and never boring. It was my second time visiting and I have spent nearly half a day there each time. To conclude : do not ignore the "audio-guide" it is full of ressources and passionating stories.

EPIC gives you a good view where the Irish went and what legacy they have left behind. The stamps for your passport is a nice feature for Kids.

Would highly recommend this museum! It’s well laid out and very immersive. You can tell that no expense has been spared when creating the museum. It covers all areas of history up to the modern day. We stayed for a few hours and could have spent even longer if we didn’t have other plans later in the day.
