Story telling in the oldest pub in Ireland - who could ask for anything more. Well, traditional Irish food and chocolate cake to die for was included. Food was great, the storytelling mesmerizing. All in all a fine end to our Gate 1 tour of Ireland. I would recommend it highly for all ages.

I recently attended an evening hosted by Ollie and he was magnificent. One minute you're in fits of laughter and the next you're on the verge of tears listening to the beautiful stories and songs. The atmosphere is such that you walk in and instantly feel as though your at home with your family, except the family here is funnier... More

In July 2010 my wife and I took her mom and aunt to this event and we loved it. This May (2017) we went back with her mom and sister and, somehow, they've made it even better. We had Johnny Daly as our storyteller both times; he is AMAZING. His knowledge and fun delivery are only exceeded by the passion... More

I absolutely loved this! I went to Ireland on a study abroad trip with about 24 other students and this was easily one of the highlights of my trip. My family is Irish and I grew up listening to stories about fairies and magic. Our storyteller Philip was amazing and really made our experience special. I was also pleasantly surprised... More

We visited the Brazen Head our first night in Ireland. The food was delicious, and the entertainment was wonderful. We learned a lot about Ireland's folklore, and we had many laughs along the way.

This was exactly what I was looking for. What a wonderful evening. I was travelling solo and wanted to experience an evening event with dinner where I would feel comfortable meeting people. Perfect. I would have thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment and meal if I had attended with friends and/or family, as well. Highly recommended. Truly delightful. Fun, funny, educational, moving,... More

This was a great evening. The food was very good. The area in the pub was comfortable, clean and everyone could hear and participate in the evening. The story teller was excellent in her material, delightful with her voice and great with the audience interaction. Very delightful.

We had read the reviews but still didn't appreciate how 'perfect' this evening would be - it was very well organized with assigned seating in a spacious room on the second (third!) floor of a 17th century addition to a 12th century pub. I've been to many such dinner/entertainment combos before but very few manage such flawless service during the... More

This is basically dinner theater at the Brazen Head Inn in Dublin, but what theater! There are apparently four rotating story tellers - we had the magical Helena Byrne - and rotating musicians. The evening begins by ordering (although a pint of Guinness downstairs at the pub could well be in order as a pre-show warm up. That was our... More

It was brilliant from start to finish. Helena told fantastic stories that gave you an insight into the history of Ireland. The food was amazing (and the two bottles of wine) and the service was very good for my friend who is gluten free. Helena's singing was lovely to listen to. The band were great, they played traditional Irish music... More
