Found this whilst walking round. The collection Is stunning. Some wonderful modern Irish painters represented and a Francis bacon gallery with a great interview video to start with when he talked to Mervyn Bragg about the way he painted.

Lovely building and the first room has superb impressionists. Interesting Irish painters and Francis Bacon's studio. The new wing is worth a visit too. Nice shop with discounted books.

This museum showcases a variety of artists in their permanent collection, but the true gem here is the Francis Bacon studio. How often can you peer into the working habits of an artist? They took apart his studio in London-- piece by piece, paint, doors and all-- and recreated it in Dublin. The surrounding exhibit provides excellent information on the... More

If you're on O'Connell, go north and get off your bus at Parnell Square. You can even walk here easily enough from the Spire. I really enjoyed the art here and will take my husband on my next trip.

10 minutes to spare and needing a cup of coffee with my old mum (thankfully lots of lifts) before visiting the Writer's Museum next door and we wondered in here - wow. The place is full of magnificent art: Renoir's 'Parapluies', a gem of a Degas and a Morisot, which I've seen and never liked much in reproduction, but now,... More

The studio of Irish artist, Francis Bacon is recreated here in all its glorious messiness! Fascinating insight into the mind of the man. Lots of other interesting works to see for what at first glance appears to be a little gallery. Lovely cafe to sit and reflect in after your visit.

Aside from a wonderful and interesting contemporary art collection you can see the relocated Francis Bacons studio as it was when he died. Another highlight of any visit to Dublin.

Great exhibitions. Came to see Francis Bacon temporary one and I was impressed. Good modern art and portrait collections. Nice but overpriced café. Easy to find with garden of remembrance right outside.
