A magnificent cathedral that houses Jonathan Swift's remains (he wrote Gulliver's Travels). It is the only remaining cathedral in Ireland with a daily sung services. A small entrance fee is charged for tourists and all money raised goes back to paying for the upkeep of the building.

This cathedral is not the most ornate to ever be made, but it is still very impressive in its own right. Plus, they have added fun and interactive activities for tourists which is really neat - but doesn't detract from the sanctity of the cathedral....More

Nice cathedral and the better of the two main cathedrals to visit in Dublin. The attached park is a good place to relax for a bit.

It's basically a gift shop inside a church. I was expecting so much more. Unless you are dying to see Jonathan Swift's lectern, just walk by.

I was really looking forward to seeing this. You walk in and a gift shop is set up to your left, which even sells cheap Temple Bar magnets. They took a beautiful church and turned it in to cheap tourist trap. I was totally disappointed...More

Just a beautiful place to visit. Visited on a Sunday so we had to wait as Mass had already begun. Wish we had been earlier as I am sure the service would be as amazing as the cathedral itself.

Yes, you can do a self guided tour, but there is a charge. However it is included in the Dublin pass if you get that. There is limited parking in the immediate vicinity but some areas nearby. I'm not certain on the hours, but... More
