A magnificent cathedral that houses Jonathan Swift's remains (he wrote Gulliver's Travels). It is the only remaining cathedral in Ireland with a daily sung services. A small entrance fee is charged for tourists and all money raised goes back to paying for the upkeep of the building.

Despite being absolutely heaving outside with the parade due to start a couple of hours later, the staff were absolutely brilliant and very friendly. The queue to get in moved quickly, the (free) information was easy to get hold of and was a perfect way to see the most interesting parts of the cathedral. My sister & I had a... More

St Patrick's is not only a beautifully built cathedral, but is well set up for guests to visit and learn. There were a few interactive elements where you could listen to traditional hymns and make your own rubbings of famous saints which both adults and children enjoyed. The cathedral is also beside a well maintained and beautiful garden that invite... More

Went to the St. Patrick's Day mass in Gaelic. A truly special place among all that I have ever visited.

The cathedral should be on everyone's list of things to do while in Dublin. Just sit a minute and enjoy being in a holy place.

It's a biggest church in Dublin 8, near the Temple bar and Spar. It has a amazing architecture, but I don't think that it's necessary to go in and see inside. There is a small park dear. :)

I have been to many churches around Europe, Mexico, and the USA. I was disappointed that this beautiful church is so commercialized. The "gift shop" is inside the church! The fact that a woman is smoking her e-cig inside the church and the selling of wares inside, takes away from the sanctity of the church. The grounds surrounding the church... More

Historic building, very interesting place to visit. Gives very good impression. But you have to remember that sometimes is closed for tourist because of masses. That should be done in other churches too- for example in Mariacki's Church in Cracow.

This is a beautiful and picturesque place to do a Dublin photo shoot! The lawn is green, there's a fountain and a playground which was great for kids while the adults learned about the history!

This wonderful church is amazing outside as well inside. The architecture here is stunning, there is so much history here I recommend going on a tour guide then going around on your own as there is so much to see it can be easy to miss something out. There is a gift shop here as well as WiFi. I also... More
