The IFI is a great little hideaway in the middle of temple bar. It shows a wide variety of film, with a focus on independent and alternative film. We saw Loving Vincent which we thoroughly enjoyed. The seats are notably comfortable. The only complaint we...More

The IFI is an oasis of calm in the middle of the hubbub of Templebar. The staff are always lovely. You can drop in for a coffee or a meal or stay for a film. The shop is very well stocked with books and DVDS....More

I think the Irish Film Institute is a little gem in the heart of Temple Bar!! The movie Maudie brought me to tears 😢an emotional true life film about an amazing woman and Artist. I would highly recommend a visit. I will be back soon...More

Love this place-- committed to film, showing arty and mainstream films. Relaxed cafe attached with beer travelers if you want to take one into the film. Old school theaters (no cup holders, no fancy digs, but well curated films). Love the glass film-strip walkway into...More

Independent films, well stocked bar, decent restaurant and the best collection of films in the shop. It was good to step into another world away from the bustle and craziness of the streets outside.

The restaurant in this fine art house cinema in Dublin city centre (Temple Bar in particular) is nutritious, varied (for meat eaters and vegetarians alike) and represents good value. The only drawback is the slow service; slow to be seated and slow to take an...More

I am member of IFI for sometime now as they offer free tickets and raffles. I like this place as in the city of Dublin. Movies are not exclusive commercial, mostly independent and able to see it in regular cinemas. Another great thing is the...More

Treat yourself to one of IFI's showings. Their selection is brainy, not commercial, and their café is tasty. IFI has interesting combinations like gourmet club features, presentations, and premiers which will screen much later in the ourside world.

Central location, great selection of popular and indie films and a nice cafe/restaurant should you need coffee or a meal. Just a nice place to visit overall.
