We had an impromptu visit to O'Donoghue's on our wedding day for a pint before our meal! Not only did we get applauded by the customers as we walked through the beer garden, we wanted to say thank you so much to the barman (we didn't catch his name) who told us go behind the bar and pull our own... Nice bar near the park. Good for a couple drinks and not too expensive. They have Irish music at 9pm which is nice. Just make sure to get there a little bit early if you want to hear the music and don't want to stand.

On the way to the museum...how excited was I to see the sign above the door saying the Dubliners had formed here...a band who's music I had been brought up to and later I had taken my mum to see them 3 times in Brighton. The 8 of us popped in "just for one" and spent the afternoon there, leaving... More

This traditional irish pub is very crowded. You can find a lot of locals and senior citizens drinking, making noise and singing. We have been here just to drink something. I took a bushmill whiskey: very good. We also ordered a toast (I think it's the only thing to eat here) and it was not bad. Go here if you... More

I visited Ireland - seeing my family and attending a wedding. My partner and I decided to end our trip in Dublin, and stayed our last two nights at The Merrion, which is around the corner. After dinner we decided to check this pub out - and we were not disappointing. Great, old Irish pub with a large space outside... More

Me and my friends popped in amidst our messy weekend away. We were served by a lady named Sinead who was absolute class and made us feel very welcome. My friends ordered the Irish stew (of which I had a bite of) and it was lovely, great big chunks of beef and a very flavorsome stock- washed down with a... More

This is a traditional Irish Pub with traditional Irish music. It is more a local's place than a Temple Bar tourist pub. Good selection of beers on tap but that is not the main attraction. It is the music. High quality musicians rotate in and out. Last night it was about eight musicians, the time before was about a dozen.... More

Definitely visit this pub, it is well worth the visit. They know how to pour some serious Guinness. What makes this place even better is the outdoor area for when the place is packed on the weekends.

Used to go here years ago so paid a visit. Nothing had changed in the place . Not overly busy got seat at bar. Ordered pints of Guinness which came immediately which took us by surprise. They were stacked up on the bar which would not be to my liking. As we were having our drinks at the bar a... More
