Three of us found this place after missing out on lunch at the Gravediggers ( their chef was away on holiday ). We had a very fine meal ( selected from a large range of tasty looking alternatives ). The beer was good and the service came with charm and wit ( including a wisecracking Irish landlord and a courteous... More

Was there for lunch today, not too familiar with pubs on the Northside but stopped here for lunch. I must say this bar is Top class, having spent 15 years working in pubs everything about this pub was perfect!! The Bar tenders, the chefs at the carvery the girls on the floor, all very professional, place was spotless, must be... More

A nice traditional pub and restaurant with very good food. But a little expensive because the mains are not as big as usual. The service has been outstanding friendly. The ambience is nice traditional, but not what you call cozy, so I would go there again for lunch or diner, but not to stay the whole evening.

What can I say?? Very friendly an knowledgable staff when I enquired about craft beer they didn't steer me wrong. Great food anytime I've ever had the pleasure of eating there and the portions weren't too skimpy either. Great atmosphere in the bar I sat near a group of older gentlemen and the banter was brilliant. And for those lazy... More

This is one of my local bars - I want to declare my bias at the outset... that being said, having observed and partaken in the Dublin pub scene over the last 30 years I can honestly say that this is one of the best and most authentic pubs left in Dublin. The main reason is that it is still... More

Decided to take some friends from NZ and London here last night for the Ireland v Scotland match. It's a nice pub but the service was hugely disappointing. Our group of 8 was directed into the back bar that is very small with limited seating and restricted views of the small screen. Not wanting to obstruct anyone's view, we asked... More

I recently ordered the hot beef roll with side salad and chips! I received a cuisine de France roll with some beef and rocket leaves. There was about five chunky chips on the plate and no salad! I ate half of my roll which was dry but not bad! When I went to take a bite out of the second... More

Had drank in this pub over 20 years ago, went back for a look and found its as good if not better than I remembered. Herself and myself had lunch there and a few drinks. We meet with the manager Louise who advised us what to order and we were very happy with what we got. Louise and her staff... More

A friend & I dropped into pub for a bite to eat, but the menu was so interesting we decided on dinner, we were not disappointed, food very tasty , we'll presented & service was excellent, not what we expected in a pub.
