About
Discover the amazing story of Dublin in this quirky museum on St Stephen's Green. Our famous 29-minute guided tours are a celebration of great Irish storytelling. You will learn about our history, you will laugh a lot and you will meet some of the friendliest people in Ireland. Please note that the museum is small and most of our tours sell out quickly.

A great introduction to Dublin. Quirky and fun. About real people and the lived experience. Great tour guide in Eamon. Forgave us for being English. Worth every minute hear. Bring your glasses to read every bit on the walls.

I experienced two wonderful tours back to back and can highly recommend both!
First I had a wonderful tour with Layla who was informative, friendly, curious, and fun. She helped unpack the beautiful, well-arranged collection and make the context for the artifacts more clear. That she was a Dubliner gave her insights and angles on things that brought it to life.
I also took the tour right after with Ann, who showed us Women's History and that definitely deepened the social context of the situation for all Dubliners through the 19th and 20th centuries. I got a better window into the history behind the history, not just the politics and priests but the actual lived experience of people under particular aspects of the historical conditions, power relations, and how women managed somehow to feed their families of 24 children living in one room or managed their staff of five servants and the society events over around the sunny squares. All in all completely fascinating and brought the city truly to life.

What a fabulous way to spend half a day! We bought the all day ticket, well worth it. Started out on a walking tour of St. Stephen;s Green. Our guide was lovely and he he wonderful knowledge to share with an emphasis on things literary. It was about an hour and very pleasant. Then we did the inside tour of the museum itself. Fascinating in that all the items were donated by the public.

Our guide Ann was absolutely fantastic, energetic and enthusiastic. She shared lots of information about the city, its people and its history. She pointed out the highlights during the tour and then we went back and explored some more on our own.

Must see if you're in Dublin!

We happened upon this museum our first in Dublin, and it gave us a perfect, information-filled yet still fun and quirky orientation to Dublin. The staff were easy to talk to, and made our visit welcoming and enjoyable! They have a fun scavenger hunt that will keep you engaged throughout and laughing. If you're a U2 fan, don't miss the U2 exhibit!

It was cleverly arranged in chronological order, which made it easy to follow and absorb lots of knowledge.

Our tour guide Layla was brilliant, she was very kind and considerate of us all. She was welcoming and friendly but most of all she was very entertaining with her jokes and mini performances of poetry etc. She really made the tour and we felt lucky to be part of her tour.
The museum is so cool, there is so much to see and take in, it is very interesting. It was amazing to think all of the items had been donated and there are so many things! My only regret is not having enough time to see everything so I would recommend beinginning the tour in the morning or earky afternoon. Me and my partner had originally booked onto the queer tour but sadly it was cancelled- we would go back to do this tour and explore the musuem further.

Had a lovely tour of the museum by Fiona D a few days ago and I can't recommend it enough. It was informative, interesting and really funny. She even gave us a small singsong in the tour! Really lovely way to spend an afternoon in Dublin. Thank you!

I booked the Southside Football Walking Tour of Dublin for myself and 6 other family members. Our level of football knowledge ranged from 0-slim. However, both Gary and Aodhán were the most amazing guides and storytellers. An amazing way to spend a few hours on a Sunday. We all went for a few pints and some food after and continued talking about the tour for hours after. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for something great to do in Dublin on a Sunday.

Dublin southside Football walking tour

Excellent tour telling the largely untold story of football in Dublin. Gary and Aodhán were excellent. Funny, engaging and interactive.
