We saw two excellent and interesting exhibitions both from young Irish artists, Una Seally and Aideen Barry. The gallery was recommended to us by a local friend at a time when museums in the area were extremely busy. It was a pleasant find.

Those were the words that came from my husband who was reluctant at first to enter this magnificent gem of eclectic art - all for free.

The 186th Annual Exhibition is currently running at the RHA until 11th June, so although I was delighted to be invited to an evening preview of the exhibition earlier in March, there is plenty of time to go and feast my eyes again. The RHA in its own right is a wonderful building on Ely Place (just a minute or... More

I have been today for the art box event, nice galery, big rooms within a nice modern building. Coffe place inside looked nice as well. Just check the events before going.

I visited the Royal Hibernian Academy (RHA), during my recent trip to Dublin. The gallery is tucked away amidst Georgian houses in the Southside of the city. It is teeming with wonderful contemporary art represented in multiple mediums that seem to cover every available space, including the walls. Also, the gallery is quite spacious, so you have to opportunity to... More

The RHA galleries always exhibit a fantastic variety of works in different mediums and interesting video installations. An added attraction is the occassional weekend lunchtime recitals.

An excellent place to visit if you're around St Stephen's Green and close to Grafton St. The cafe is very nice but expensive if you're budgeting. The exhibition areas are great, nice rooms with high ceilings. We saw the recent RHA exhibition here which has a huge variety of art each year but I have to wonder how they can... More

The RHA is in a modern purpose-built gallery in a Georgian setting. It may not fit easily from the outside, but inside the display areas are well suited to contemporary art. This is a great place to come to see the small shows of Irish-based artists who are just making their reputation as well as the larger exhibitions or retrospectives... More

A hidden gem tucked away on Ely place. Well worth a visit even to marvel at the space alone. Exhibitions change so the art work varies. Lady at reception was very knowledgable. The space itself is just beautiful and the cafe is lovely.
