Great pub to chill in. No music playing. Great barman and Americans made welcome here. Also the only place in Ireland we found Mac Ivors cider on draft.

We wandered in a little tipsy in search of a particular whiskey. While the bar didn’t have it all the staff including the patrons were able to make suggestions. We loved the choices, the company, the ambiance. Highly recommend hitting this place up!

This is one of my favourite pubs in Dublin, friendly staff, great pints and a large selection of whiskey.

If Temple Bar isn’t your thing and you’d prefer something more authentic, then you have to go to Bowes. It’s incredibly friendly, and if you’re lucky, you might just catch some real, live Irish music being played around the bar. The barmen are very attentive...More

Other than Grogan’s, the best pint we had. Much less crowded as well which was a plus. A bit of a funky smell but well worth it.

Ignore all the Temple Bar tourist traps and head to Bowes Bar, a perfect little gem of a traditional Dublin pub: dark, plenty of seating (at least when we were there), no unnecessary noise, reasonable selection of beer, friendly staff. On one side of us,...More

A great little spot for a Guinness with real irish patrons and traditional irish music. Close to temple bar but not a tourist trap. If you can spot and appreciate a real pub, this place is for you. It doesn't have covers of english songs...More
