Established in 1766 this shrine to antiquity is one of Dublin's oldest, most beautiful and best loved pubs, abundant in traditional charm and exuding genuine Victorian originality, the interior dates from 1881. The title The Long Hall is derived from Dublin publore as a consequence of the long narrow hallway snug, that ran parallel to the back bar. The pub is the product of splendid Victorian design symmetry in which the sum of its parts including elaborate gold leaf enhancements, meticulous handcrafted wood carvings, beveled and ornate glass all come together to create one of the iconic and leading lights of 20th century Dublin publife. Over decades, politicians, playwrights and potwallopers have imbibed here side by side. Attentive Bartenders, a warm welcome and a friendly atmosphere await you. Renowned for great Guinness. Open Daily from 12.30pm.

A very cool old Victorian pub in Temple Bar. They do not serve food but seemed to have a full bar selection. Really take in the atmosphere, that's what you're paying for. Worth a stop.

Great place to grab a drink. Beautiful interior in this pub which dates back to 1766. Easy to find a table on a weekday evening. No food or music just good atmosphere and friendly bar staff.

A great time sharing a pint with my husband at this beautiful Victorian pub right in the middle of Dublin. Friendly bar servers and a lot of history.

What an impressive little find on a side street of Dublin. There is an extensive selection of beer and whisky and so much history behind the place. Great place to stop in for a pint or two.

Pricing is fair and reasonable given quality of premises and level of service. €5.20 for a pint of Guinness which the pub is renowned for having a great pint. No live music but rather the music of conversation!
