It is worth visiting this pub to view the interior alone - just stunning. Unfortunately, the ladies’ toilets had a broken seat and needed a clean, and the barman was countering under his breath as he served us. Service didn’t match the building.

We had toasted cheese and an excellent soup. I had cider, hubby had a beer. An excellent and cheery stop to get out of the rain.

Very good value lunch specials and an upscale interior. Friendly service! Drop in for a drink just to see the interior and view the replica Book Of Kells (looks just like the real one!)

I'm a sucker for converted buildings and this former bank makes a perfectly elegant pub. The fish and chips with ale was great, but the main reason to visit is the amazing vibe.
