This University is housed partially in the old Queens College that was opened in 1849. It is located across the street from the Galway Cathedral, partially hidden by age old trees. Beautiful school surrounded by the River Corrib & the Galway Cathedral.

The oldest part of the university is the Quadrangle Building which was built in the middle of the 19th century in the style of an Oxford college. It is well worth a visit and even has a shop where you can buy gifts. In front...More

Beautiful campus that continues to grow. Make sure to walk along the Corrib near student housing. And don't forget the Quad - which is stunning when the ivy changes color in the fall.

We visited the geology/biology museum and saw both the old glass-blown marine life and the rocks! We always want to know the geology of an area and this was great. Plus there was the story of King from the University naming Homo neanderthalensis

It is one of the largest campus i would say in Ireland. Its spread over acres like UCD. Just next to beautiful Corrib River. Nice classrooms and campus. Beautiful. Quadrangle is the most famous place to visit.

Great to share the visit and near the Cathedral so much to see and to discover as you walk the grounds. Visits can be arranged through schools.

This is a fine college with a combination of old and new buildings and continuing development. It is a good ramble to see all the campus

Although the campus is quite big and the college itself has about 17,000 students, everyone seems to know eachother. What I love about nuig is that we have many fun activities in college to give students a chance to meet new people so they won't...More

This campus is worth a walk around and it's only 5 minutes walk from the centre of the city. The old building blend in lovely with the new and they are all worth seeing.
